The official release date for the sequel to BOTW, The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, was announced during Nintendo Direct in September 2022. This comes after the game’s release was pushed back to the following year and spoiler rumors circulated by one of the voice actors who contributed to the sequel. Fans are excited because they have been waiting for this game to arrive on the Nintendo-developed platform.
The official name for the follow-up to “Breath of the Wild” is “Tears of the Kingdom,” and it has been confirmed by Nintendo. On May 12 2023, it will launch for the Nintendo Switch. The game’s visuals are reminiscent of its predecessor, but there are a number of innovative new features, such as a vertical open world, that make it stand out from the pack.
About The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
A sequel to what many gamers consider to be one of the best games of all time, Tears of the Kingdom (formerly known as Breath of the Wild 2) was first announced with a teaser trailer at E3 2019. Since then, Nintendo has been extremely slow with updates and has shown off very little of the game.
The trailer shown at E3 2021 (above) features a sequence in which Link skydives and then paraglides high above Hyrule. Floating landmasses are also easily visible in the sky. Furthermore, after demonstrating Link’s ability to freeze objects and send them hurtling through the air, the video shows him using a flame thrower and teleporting vertically through the stone of one of the floating isles.
