In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, the False Dragon Titan is located in the northwest of the map on a small island in the lake. This titan is the most powerful and can present one of the most difficult challenges in the game if you are unprepared. Despite being labeled a dragon, this titan is a fish and a water type. Bring either grass- or electric-type Pokemon that can withstand a powerful water attack and remain standing. As this is likely the final titan you will encounter, defeating it is more of a marathon than a sprint.

How to find False Dragon Titan Pokemon Violet

The location of the titan will be marked on your map from the beginning of the game, but unlike the other titans, it will not appear as soon as you get close. A small orange fish Pokemon can be found in the upper corner of the island. This Pokemon will be yelling “Taitaaaan”, and interacting with it will initiate the initial phase of this titan’s battle.

For this titan, it is recommended that your Pokemon be around level 55. Dondozo is a water-type Pokemon, so your best bet is to use grass- or electric-type Pokemon with damaging attacks. After restoring Dondozo’s health to Red, he will flee to a nearby island and swim away. Follow him to the nearby shore, where Arven will join you to begin the second phase of this battle. Dondozo will be strengthened by his Mystica Herb, and his health will be fully restored.

Use the time between phases to heal your most effective Pokemon, and continue to use them during this phase. Arven will bring his level 55 Greedent to assist you in combat. Greedent is surprisingly durable and can hold its own in combat while dealing moderate damage. Having a second Pokemon in battle allows you to concentrate solely on powerful attacks when Dondozo is targeting Greedent. After defeating both forms of Dondozo, we realize that the small orange Pokemon is the other half of this titanic battle. Tatsugiri can be equally as potent as Dondozo, as it has also been enhanced by the Mystica Herb.

Your entire team has been completely healed between battles, allowing you to go all out in this final phase. In addition to being a water type, Tatsugiri is also a dragon type. If you already have a Pokemon that has dominated previous battles, it could also carry this one using the same strategy. With the additional Dragon type, Tatsugiri is also extremely vulnerable to dragon and ice attacks, with the latter being the safer option. Rely on Arven’s aid and concentrate on dealing damage to conclude this titan battle involving three titans.

As a reward, you will receive Climbing Surfaces; if you press the B button to jump while facing a wall, Koraidon will grab onto it, allowing you to climb vertically.
