Beyond Good and Evil 2 Breaks The World Record – As is common knowledge, the creation of a video game takes a considerable amount of time. The lengthy and intricate procedure requires patience from both the creator and the game that is awaiting release. Frequently, game release deadlines have not been met because the course of the development process was not comparable to the estimated completion timeline.
That appears to have occurred in Beyond Good and Evil 2, which is now officially the game with the longest production cycle. According to Brendan Sinclair’s Twitter profile, fourteen years of work on Beyond Good and Evil 2 have passed. Duke Nukem Forever previously held the record for the longest-running game, with 5,156 days between its announcement in 1997 and its release in 2011. The sequel to the Ubisoft game released in 2003 has now officially deleted this rank.
Diverse development-related issues appear to be the primary reason why the game has not yet been launched. It was first introduced to the public in 2008 via a teaser trailer, although the game’s final form has not yet been created.
The game also made a brief reappearance during E3 2018 with the publication of the latest cinematic trailer, and Ubisoft formally revealed the game for the first time. Unfortunately, after the release of the game’s trailer, there was no further information.
When Ubisoft director Michael Ancel quit, fans became increasingly dubious. As a result, the status of the game’s production remains shrouded in uncertainty until it is revealed that the project is in risk of cancellation.
Additionally, Ubisoft stated some time ago that game development is still ongoing. The game is still still in pre-production, but the production process is claimed to be proceeding successfully. Fans who have waited patiently for its release will hopefully be rewarded for their endurance with this lengthy processing period.
